Our Team

When you've been living with the level of sleep deprivation that results from snoring or obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), it is important to receive help from medical professionals who understand not just the physical impact, but also the emotional impact these conditions have on a sufferer. Our hope is to provide you with an easy-to-use, non-invasive solution that will help you fall asleep soundly and stay asleep to help your body and mind achieve the rest you need for optimum health.
We're here to help you . . .
All our professionals at Metro Dental maintain the highest levels of accreditation and pursue ongoing education to stay abreast of the latest trends in dentistry.

Dr. Sotiropoulos is the new face of Metro Dental. He is a lifelong resident of the Swansea, Illinois area, graduated from the Loyola University School of Dentistry in Chicago in 1987 and has been practicing in the Belleville/Swansea area since that time. Since 2004 Dr. Sotiropoulos has been teaching part time at the Lewis and Clark Dental Hygiene School and is currently the lead clinical dentist and teaches the local anesthesia certification course.

Among the other comprehensive dental treatments provided at his practice, Dr. Sotiropoulos works with patients who are suffering with snoring and sleep apnea. Offering an alternative to CPAP treatment for patients who are unable or unwilling to use it, Metro Dental provides dental appliances that can be worn comfortably in the mouth while sleeping. Dr. Sotiropoulos can work with your physician to help treat these conditions.

Dr. Sotiropoulos has five children and is married to his wife Jody, a flight nurse at Cardinal Glennnon Children's Hospital in St. Louis. In addition to being with his family, Dr. Sotiropoulos enjoys racing cars. He competes in the Sports Car Club of America's Solo racing series and serves as an instructor for the Evolution Performance Driving School in his spare time. He also volunteers as a driving instructor at the Street Survival School courses where newly licensed drivers are taught how to be better, safer drivers on our streets.
